Yup there is a thread on here and a couple of test results showing how many G's it pulls in the figure 8 test it destroys the frs in terms of grip.

I have not seen a test where both cars are on the same tires. Do you have a link to said test?

At the last event I ran, I was FIVE SECONDS faster, on a ~40 second course, in my CS FRS than I was in a 2017 bone-stock 86. The vast majority of that gap was tires.

Or hell even Aisin to develop there own version of DCT even if it's only at 6 speed close enough to that the ZF 8 Speed offers.

Not exact tires but they did a skid pad test where they put bridgestone re-11 on a frs and did a figure 8 test and got .95 G vs the V6 1LE Camaro's .97 G on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 run-flat.

The .95G rating was an average.

And the Cammaro's was well:

Quote:
The tighter suspension works in concert with staggered-width 20-inch forged-aluminum wheels and 245/40 front and 275/35 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 run-flat summer tires to deliver a claimed 0.97 g of lateral grip. (Quick note: This figure is subject to the testing methods and the diameter of the skidpad used to measure it; we evaluate lateral grip on a 300-foot skidpad, where a stock V-6 Camaro recorded an impressive 0.91 g.)
Comparing claimed (peak?) grip to average grip on a specific course doesn't work.
