Yes, same here maybe 2-3 times in over a year. I've also had my volume knob stop working. In both cases, using a paper clip in the tiny reset hole in the front to restart the unit fixed the issue.

One thing that annoys me is I need to press the buttons on the front (ie GPS) twice before it will do anything after I first boot up. From then on the first press works.

Good to know it's not just my headunit then. So when you reset your headunit using the reset button does that reset any data that is saved on the harddrive? I don't want to delete any songs if it happens again.

No, it just basically disconnects +12 constant as far as I can tell. I have music on an SD and that is unaffected as well as all of my settings.

Hi All

I have just sold my dashlinq4 as i could not get it to connect with my Defi smart bluetooth adaptor.

How has everyone found bluetooth connectivity on these, is it happy to connect to 3rd party devices OK?

Cheers

Neil

@B-R-Z

So to hook up the antenna adapter, I just tap the blue wire into the blue wire that gets repinned?

And the 3 blank wires on the harness, do I just ignore them (back/amp/brake)? Couldn't find info on this part

Are we talking about only the antenna adapter? If so, I think you only need to use what allows you to connect the antenna to the radio. Then you must connect the wire for the antenna booster (coming from car harness) to amp turn on wire on radio. Its been a while since I installed this so I'm not 100%.

You probably need to sit/screw the unit back further on the metal bracket before you slide it into the dash.

Fully seated doesn't matter. You need to make sure that the bracket is furthest it can go towards the front of the unit. If its not in the correct spot then you may have the issue that you're having.

Ditch iPod, get a 32 GB microsd for $10 and load your library on it.

No, it displays tag info when playing, but you select the song by filename, IIRC. This is with the stock music player though. Find one on android that does exactly what you want and use that.
