Hood Strut

Anyone wants to attempt a diy for hood strut? Here's a website to get some gas springs, ball joint, etc.

http://www.mcmaster.com/#gas-springs/=l5c3vb

Hopefully, I get some free time and play around with this. The cost should be less than $50 for everything.

But good luck

^ that. Especially since having the brackets made will be the other $50 in price.

$50 is for everything including the bracket...the two gas spring is only $20ish.. and $30 is an approximate for bracket

well, this is just a suggestion. Hopefully, someone who is into DIY can look into it.

I meant brackets to mount to your hood and engine bay. I doubt an off the shelf part from mcmaster would work without some heavy hacking.
