GGVF's DGM BRZ

Sup guys, I purchased my 2014 Subaru BRZ Limited on February 2, 2014 at Timmons Subaru in Long Beach!

Definitely in love with this car, and I'm gonna love it even more as I continue to mod it. Such a fun car that was worth every penny, love all the compliments I get from people stopping me before going into work or just randomly on the road.

Started this build journal kind of late, but never too late to start right?

-----

Just got done signing papers at the dealers and went with the salesman Dave to give it her first full tank.

First "mod": Debadging the Subaru and BRZ

Opticoat with my buddy @JM9ISM

Third brake light done thanks to Stephen from Black Beat Motor for the hook up !

DIY taillight red-out with clear turn signals, used Duplicolor Metalcast and Rustoleoum clear coat 2x

FRS sandwich..

BERK muffler delete installed

First track day! Streets of Willow with Extreme Speed. Took her with stock suspension and tires, Primacy HPs did better than I expected but definitely will need an upgrade.

A buddy got a picture of my friends and I getting questioned by a cop on the way threatening to give us tickets.. luckily left without any trouble

"Tan lines" hahah

Chrome turn signal bulbs, such a clean and quick mod that looks amazing

Eibach Sportline springs installed, thanks to Alex from Fuzion Teknique for hooking it up cheap with installation. Temporary springs until I figure out what coils I want to confidently go, KW V2 look very promising but are a bit pricey and the RSR Sport-i are becoming pretty popular and seem to be pretty up there in quality, a lot of decision making to do but until then these are gonna be on for a while.

Street setup: Work Emotion XD9 18x9 wrapped in Falken Ziex 235/35, these are definitely gonna get swapped out with some better rubber. I purchased these wheels from a friend with tires for super cheap, so ill keep them on till I decide with what tires I'm gonna go with.

Will get more pictures of the XD9s soon

It's just blue painter's tape used to protect the car on track days.

Exactly what CNK said, it's a bit excessive I guess but rather not worry about getting too many rock chips

I thought about paint protection but since I already have shit load of rock chips from street driving i just

But I'm sure it helps a great deal if you have the patience to tape it up. There was a lot of tire rubber kick up that left hard to remove black lines. I'm sure the rubbing needed to remove them added scratches as well as the track driving.

If you have the patience wrap will save your paint

Also, question, how did your friends Si pace with your BRZs?

Yeah I get what you mean, it actually didn't take too long to tape up the front end like that, but definitely the tape saved from extra cleaning up like the rubber kick up.

haha honestly he did pretty good at the track, i actually got in-car footage of all my friends and there were a few hiccups but it was his first time and he was just learning his car so we got completely different times
