Then you've answered your own question. You have to figure out which is more important for your long term goals.

I suggest you wait on a face tattoo until after you have reached that goal.

(the urge will most likely have passed by then - )

Just get a tattoo of a butt that has a butt shaped tattoo on it and get it right on your butt. That would be cool.

Take the money you would spend on the tats and spend it on some sessions with a therapist instead. Better long term investment, I’m thinking.

Therapy is a waste of time. You can literally go to a bar and have a therapy session with anyone there and they’ll all sympathize. Shit you might even get laid.

now i'm curious, what reasoning would anyone desiring a tattoo need to see a therapist? should i be seeing a therapist for caring enough about my brz to detail it, but not caring enough about my truck to even hose it down?

Therapy is one of those things that crooks promote. It’s partial to capitalism. Like let’s talk to someone who doesn’t give advice yet asks how you feel about your problems and run in circles about it. Sounds great.

Therapy gives back what you put into it. They don't tell you how to live... they teach you how to analyze yourself and make corrections.

nah, it's more of a different means to a similar end result--different strokes for different folks sorta thing. generally, therapy is for people that need to talk to an uninvolved 3rd party to come to terms with their specific issues. had a girlfriend during a high school that went through therapy while her parents were going through a very nasty divorce. it did her a lot of good because she felt unencumbered to talk about the whole thing, where talking to me or any of our friends carried the potential for baggage. at least that's what she told me about it.

i've got no problem talking to anyone about whatever the issue is, so paying for therapy doesn't really do me any good.

i was more specifically trying to ask nicely why/what a therapist has to do with someone getting a tattoo. if therapy can sway getting a tattoo, it would suggest that tattoo's are emotional, making the tattoo-ee's are emotionally unstable, or the tatto-ee has unresolved personal conflict that they take out on themselves, which just doesn't sit right with me.

I'm sorry to hear about your sister. I think it's great that you want to honor and remember her.

When I see or meet somebody with a face tattoo, I immediately distrust them. In general, the more tattoos a person has, the lower my initial opinion. Plenty of my friends have tattoos, but not of them have face tattoos or hand tattoos. Anybody with such a mark would have to work 10 times more than somebody else to prove themselves to me.

Face tattoos are the worst. Then come neck tattoos. In third is hand tattoos. Fourth is wrist and forearm. Fifth is anywhere else visible.

The one place on the head where a tiny tattoo can still be fine is behind the ear. Then it isn't noticeable and it won't ruin your first impression.

There's a reason non-profits exist to remove tattoos from ex-cons. A face-tattoo is a scarlet letter.

Tattoos mean:

1.) For Guy, you were in the military, or prison.

2. For girl, she has been having sex since age 12.

Would never ever do business or hire someone with face tats.

So initially this post was more so regarding, you know, “opinions.” However I realize that a lot of you are extremely judgmental and you make me want to total my BRZ so I have zero affiliation with such people. It’s like you see a guy with a tattoo, oh that guys going to rob me and rape my wife. Nah man that guy works 70 hours a week to provide for his family, and got a tattoo because he thought it was cool. I’m not even religious but shit man what would Jesus do?

um but isn't this sorta reaction direct evidence that people would give you too much shit off the keyboard? I doubt you would have received a more positive reception on a forum dedicated to tats.

I think we were all pretty clear that it wasn't necessarily our thoughts but what you would be up against.
Don't fucking ask for opinions and then get all pissy because you got them. Go total your car but owning the same model doesn't make us "affiliated" in any manner anyway. Get all the face tattoos you want if that is how you feel but don't be bloody judgmental on US for answering YOUR god damn question. Fucking hypocrite.
