Actually I'm just messin' with you, because I know you are well aware that circumstances vary for individuals.

My car is currently being scheduled for the recall; but luckily I am in a position both financially and with extra vehicles that even if the worst happens it will not be a hardship.

I feel for those owners that are, like me, forced to do the recall but unlike me find the prospect stressful and potentially a true financial burden. Seems like other than wishing them well there is really nothing that can be done other than hoping the individual dealerships "do the right thing" if the repair goes poorly. Even with proper training, mistakes will happen...
Yep you have to and if I lived there I would do it NOW. Not early when they had no clue and not later when the heat is off and they throw Joe Noob at it again but NOW. The dealerships are under the magnifying glass and they know it. This is the window to have it done right.

I agree - I put this off as long as I could, but I too think this is about as good as the odds are going to get if you have to have it done.

Because I have thoughts and opinions on a subject and it is an open forum. Don't get it fixed if you don't want I don't give a flying fuck. There are others that actually appreciate some real info and discussion based on actual data and conditions instead of emotional crying and moaning about what may or not happen.
I was trying to give you some options and support but you can just go .... yourself now.

At 49,000 miles it's still under manufacturer's drive train warranty regardless of the recall.

Did I miss something?

Guessing that one got deleted? At least there's a quote for future reference.

A significant portion of people contributing to the thread don't own a '13. I've spent more time reading recall documents and attempting to summarize them than I can remember.

40 people complaining that their engine blew up and now I own a paper weight isn't getting you 800 replies and nearly 38k views.

Would still have timed out since it is 6 years now.

Outside influence is outside influence. Doesn't matter if it's a '19 with 500 miles.

Blow it up with a turbo kit, it's on you. Blow it up at the track, it's on you. Put a tune and headers on it, it's on you. Crappy, but that's their way out.

And what Tcoat said.

Maybe others like me, that are dealing with a post recall situation, that are not mentioning too much on the interwebs, in the event it becomes a "lawyer up" situation too.

Back to 46 documents. Looks like this new one is gone? PDF still loads, but it is no longer on the list. Print that bad boy while you still can!

100% agree. Everyone involved benefits from increased exposure. However, laying your story out there and dropping F bombs might not be the best move when a lawyer starts poking around.

" if the tech fuck up your engine and blow up, we will put a new engine free of charge no matter what"
My concers is not the repair itself l, its the aftermath tho

Remember - most law firms offer free consultations. Even a well written letter of phone call from one could put a good scare in the dealer to try and figure out what to do.

PT Warranty is 5y/60k. 99% of the cars impacted by the recall are outside of their factory powertrain warranty.

Document 47 has returned. There is no conspiracy to cover up the superior Subaru process after all.
