You can install it inline either on the passenger side(short) or on the driver side (long)

I'm not sure what you mean either...you are supposed to use both sides.

Step 3: Unplug headlight connector on EITHER side.
Step 4: Plug new connectors inline on EITHER side, between headlight and vehicle harness.

I just checked the install video again...he does say connect them on "either" side, but you are supposed to do both.

Yep.. we had the same issue earlier in this thread lmao.

Install both sides. See my pics a few posts up.

I wonder how many RMAs that slip up in the video has caused so far

Try to completely disconnect the connectors and then reconnect them. Seems like a crazy coincidence that you are getting the same result after only connecting one of the sides and then now connecting both. Take pics or video of how you have it connected on both sides and we can try to help out. Maybe it is defective, but just seems like only having half connected WAS your issue.

Agreed. And take a look at the pins in the connectors when you reconnect, it was a tight fit for me because the pins refused to line up correctly on their own and I was afraid I'd misalign one of the pins.

Glad to see some people are having everything working. Still waiting on my RMA to come through. To clarify guys... You need to connect them on BOTH sides. The instructions are pretty clear about that.
@kakarot1657 Lighting in your pics are really weird. Almost looks like the FRS blue.

The color is GBS it's not WRB.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm wondering if the BRZ needs to go through a few run cycles before the unit works properly. I had the identical same problem as shown in [Ron]'s video, but after a few days of driving, it suddenly started working, and has been working ever since.

I originally reported the issue to DD, and they immediately issued an RMA. I just received the new replacement unit yesterday, so I pulled out my DD unit (that now works fine) and put in this new one. However this new DD replacement unit did not work, and had the exact same problem I originally had! (as shown in [Ron]'s vid)

To test, with parking brake down I pulled the DD fuse out and replaced with stock, and the DRL's came on. I swapped back to the DD fuse, but still no luck. Drove up the street and back, shut the car and lights on/off a few times, and still no dice. Then I swapped my original one back it, and it worked fine! I left my original one installed in the car.

I'm scratching my head on this one... looks like I'll just return the new replacement unit that I had just received. For those of you that have experienced this same problem, have you tried driving the car with the unit installed for a few days to see if it eventually started working?

Received mine.
.It's a JDM labelled (for non-USDM I suppose)
Works fine outside in the front but...
Lights up rear lights and all center dash is dimmed !
GPS turn to night mode and I can't see the clock anymore by day cause it's so darken !

Seems to be issues with EUDM...

Afer a quick check on G4400GE wiring diagram page 192-193, it seems that clearance lights (boomerangs) are always connected to rear lights...
