Black colours tended to get gold badges on JDM runs, in most cars over the last few decades. Agreed goes nicely with something like gold centered volks.

Toyota REALLY cheapened the look of the 86 for the US market.

Some of it was necessary to meet DOT regulations or their target price point, but some of it was just in poor taste (like the heavy use of chrome accents vs. black).

Cool and all but sometimes i think this is entirely too much work and money just cause some people don't like Scion. I was considering this at first too, but then i learned to embrace it, and save my pennies for more awesome things.
