I saw the new Supra today on display at the auto show.

I was the only person that took a peak at the bottom from the backside. The underbody panel seems to be a very thin sheet of stamped steel, but there is this big gap in-between the body and the panel piece it's like I can actually hide a few textbooks in there.

Yeah. A semester's worth is about the cost of an 86.

Amazon rentals are your friend.....

I saved about 75% of the cost of textbooks with two of my sons using Amazon rentals rather than buying them.

I was lucky when I needed text books. The GI Bill helped a lot with them.

Still waiting to hear from the Toyota dealership on when I can get my deposit down on the A90. As much as I love my 86, I'm ready for something new. Also, my knees will be very happy with an automatic

My son was forced to buy thousands of dollars worth of mandatory text books. He never even opened most of them.
SCAM!

Same here...

The worst was when you bought a 100 or so dollar textbook only to need it for one short story of like 5 page length, if that.

But of course professors/the university can't afford to print 5cents per page 5 pages per student and prefer the student spend several many times that amount...

Don't think it is that they don't want to spend 5 cents per page but simply they can't because of copyright laws. If they want to use that material in the curriculum then somebody is gonna pay someplace and it ain't gonna be them.

Many times the material is already either licensed by the university or actually written by the instructor/another instructor/member of faculty in the department.

Probably half my textbooks had a big licensing logo for my university on the cover. So it'd be like "the SJSU edition" or similar.

But I'm sure there are different terms that apply.

HA. I've even had "required textbooks" that cost 150 bucks or morethat weren't even used in the class. I don't even want to know how much I spent on text books cuz I'm pretty sure it would have cost as much as my first (showroom new) Yaris.

Wasn't my pic but it's the same actual display there.

While I stood there I overheard a number of random people claiming it's just a re-skinned Z4 hence the seemingly odd proportions.

The exhaust system looks pretty neat. IIRC it's like a symmetrical Y split into two resonators, then coming back into a single horizontal final resonator, all 3 pieces are cylinder shaped stainless steel. The routing is pretty retro Mk4 Supra right?

I finally get to sit inside the cockpit of the Lexus LC, feels alot smaller than it really is. While the seat could get pretty low to the floor pan, the really high hood line is quite disappointing. I would imagine it's a similar configuration with the Zupra.

The M2 Competition on the other hand sits like a Matrix, the high hip point is retarded and the shifter throw / clutch pedal spring action felt like some cheap PC gaming system (your 86/BRZ feels vastly superior in comparison even when the engine is off), maybe that's why the Zupra is an auto?

The new Z4 was there but the line waiting to sit inside was too long.
