I've seen #72 (manual) & #147 (auto), both are beautiful, sadly neither one is mine...Mine is in country, awaiting distribution.

Friday is the day I was told my Car might be available. They won't take preorders so I had to convince my Chief that I wanted this car and I was ready to go buy it. Means I get to leave early in the morning to get my purchase on. Just practiced with a manual today so it'll be fun I know it.

The TRD kit was easy on the eyes with its clean fitting and color-match weather stripping to hide any gaps. The exterior has already been done by Toyota (thumbs up Toyota!). As for performance, suspension, and the rest - I happily reverted back to modified whiteout. To the future owner of this yuzu or any of the 1500 available, congrats!!

The only fault I saw was this. I won't go into details as we all should be familiar with it. But I can only imagine it becoming worse during ownership or modifications. It only had 10 miles on the odo before I added a few more. Toyota should have fixed this by now.

this can not be fix, and Scion and Toyota is turning their head on this one, you have to live with it.
Many people on this fourm has this problem, and it just can not be fix.

Hopefully the new owners did all leave FT86Club to join the RS 1.0 Facebook group. Still interested in feedback also. The RS 1.0 seems to be showing up everywhere except Houston. My Scion dealer has one coming in this week but it is already sold. There is another coming in next week that I hope to test drive. Can't Wait!!!

#511 checking in!

Just picked up my RS1.0 this morning! It came 5 days late because Toyota is backed up at the port sending these out to dealers in the area. After waiting for almost 2 months I finally feel complete being one with the car!

Signed a waiver to make dealer not drilling my bumper and asked them not to wash. I washed it myself and used iron-x then clayed and lightly waxed (getting protection top coat next week). I just finished installing the TRD intake. It's so exciting to work on this car!

I will have paint and interior protection done next week. I will probably add a clear bra on top as well. Also will be putting on the TRD wheels to go 18x7.5 square, and planning to replace taillights, rear fog light, remove FRS badge and replace scion badges with black toyota badges.

How was the install on the TRD intake? Since you only had the stock intake for a short time, can you see a difference?

Now, that's how you plan a purchase.

The install was easy. Took me just about 30 minutes. The sound tube delete makes the engine bay cleaner and the cabin more livable. I may be imagining it but I felt the sound is throatier (just a bit) and the engine hesitates less on lower rpm and smoother on higher rpm (up to 4k since I am not going over it just yet).

There may be better intake but I want oem look & feel and CARB. I even think a layperson (i.e. smog guy) probably wouldnt even know it is not the factory intake. In any case make sure you also get the sticker if your state needs it.

Alright so those who have one, what are your experiences when going up or down driveways? (Have you scratched it yet? Lol)

The front corner protrudes a bit more than the standard.

I would recommend you save those original parts. If you ever decide to sell it the car will be worth more with the OEM parts than the ones you replace them with. That may be especially true due to the car being a limited edition.
