Ok guys, I come in all excited to let everyone know that I heard the exhaust for the first time from outside the car and someone driving it and blipping the throttle and wanted to let everyone know that the sound is EPIC, AWESOME, et. al. amazing superlatives that can be used. It sounds so NICE. I mean, IMHO best sounding exhaust.

BUT, I also wanted t add that #1 @gonzo, I sheared off that same bolt. (Got it at the Subaru dealer for $4.15.

Third, Hello, my name is David and I am a MORON..... I also did not install that gasket and that was the reason I sheared off that bolt too.

Oh well, I quickly confirmed it was hanging on the OEM piece. Time to get under the car again.... To everyone, big THANKS!!

fuck my life.

Nameless should really include or email instructions on installing the front pipe. and those instructions should say that the gasket needs to be taken off the old front pipe ^_^

You're right. I didn't even think about safety glasses. That lasik cost me an arm and a leg I should protect it.

BTW UCLA has a great lasik doctor if anyone is undecided. Took me a year to find a good doctor and take the risk. It's very quick and painless! Best decision I have ever made.

Go and get it at the Subaru dealer for 4.15

I already tried the Home Depot way and the makeshift solution will leave the spring with the possibility of falling out with vibrations and road pot holes.

I just installed the Gasket, good GOD, this exhaust is fucking heaven. It is super mild inside. I need to redo my review, there is no loud sound inside the cabin it was my mistake!
@Bamaboy256 read this. Get that front part right now... the sound is glorious, and inside the cabin it is similar to the axleback, just a tad louder.

I am not sure what the exact terminology is for the issue of the weld I saw, but I know welds are not supposed to look like that.

Yeah you're right. I think I was just a little pissed that it wasn't fitting (because I forgot the gasket)

Offset or non offset?

My non offset sounds really mean with the exhaust leak and gasket missing

it is farty sounding at idle because of the leak, but at higher rpms and driving the leak adds some character

I wonder how it'll sound with the gasket on

Mine's offset. I know exactly what you are talking about. But wait till you add the gasket, the difference is night and day for real.

hey guys,

i'm planning to go back to the oem muffler with jdm tips. i'll be selling my nameless non-offset for $500 plus shipping ($50 off the original price). it's just a bit too loud for my taste.
