Yeah I've been trying for days to get the crickets to come back out, it's just too damn cold now. It's great not to hear them, but I know they'll come back next spring.

Yeah I have been using the Shell 93 and the noise has pretty much gone away, I'm gonna start filling back up with BP 93 since the TSB is out now.

To this point Scion of America should make sure every Scion owner is treated with this type of attention to detail.

Can sopmeone PLEASE post the details on this TSB?

Looks like the same TSB number as the original S-SB-0023-12. The PDF for this has filename S-SB-0023-12_002, so I wonder if there is a S-SB-0023-12_001 version as well.

Sigh. I called my dealer right around 1pm, made the rep aware of the TSB. Was told that they'll read it and call me back. Still nothing, must be a really long TSB. Then a clueless Subaru rep finally called (after I requested a call mid-last week) and he didn't know there was a TSB either.

Yeah, we have a good dealer around here, but it's an hour away. Maybe I should switch anyway.

Wow I just had a horrible moment at the dealership! Went in to check on my back ordered taillights.... Figured I would mention again about the crickets and see if there was a TSB yet (10/3 4:30pm) he says no so I was still in a fine mood didn't expect him to say yes anyways, so I ask why Toyota already had one giving him some shit about subie being the higher priced one and so on he started giving me the bs comments about how they are different cars! I went ape shit lol I asked him when Toyota started making the boxer engine? He said they are different and they post different times to prove it! I commented it's just spring rates body and weight ect. And he gave me this pissy look and I left there pretty ugly! Then I get home and calm my nerves by checking for updates here and see this post above! Hahahahahahaha now I get to go in tomorrow with my iPad already loaded up to the TSB and have a chat with him and his manager I love knowing more then they do! Tomorrow should be more fun!!!! Thanks

I called my local Subaru dealer today. They were unaware that this problem existed and unaware of the TSB. They said they'd look it up and call me back. They actually did call me back (which is nice) and said they found the TSB and he read it over with me. It reads a lot like the Scion/Toyota one. Anyway, I'm going to go in early next week and let them listen for the noise to confirm its existence, they said they'd order the parts after that.

I called 2 local Subaru service shops and they have access to it. One was kind enough to read the 3 page TSB. I could not confirm if the new part numbers were the same as the old part numbers because the old part numbers were not listed anywhere in the TSB. Just said to replace/install a certain list of part numbers.

Also saw the VIN cutoff for those afflicted ends with D603383.
