If they total it you can buy it back from the insurance company and get your parts off and sell the rest to someone building a race car.

If you tell them you want it back they sell it to you for what the salvage company offers them. This is often a very good deal in a rear hit as the good stuff is up front.

Im gonna say there is no doubt that is totaled.

I was rear ended also in my frs. My airbags didnt deploy and my car was driveable. That is way worst than what my accident looked like.

If the refs hadn't rigged the game against the 49ers, there would've never been a parade in Seattle, hence no car crash. WAS IT WORTH IT?! Haha jk. Glad you're okay.

I would deffintly say its totaled. between how fucked that quarter is passed the quater window it would take so much work to get it back out and between replacing the whole rear suspension and subframe.

yeah its all aftermarket suspension as well so thats even more money. it looks way worse in person not to mention the passenger side curb rash...

you know whats messed up. when you get hit or get in an accident everything slows way down. i remember every movement of the car, but the thing that stands out most is hearing the sound of the wheels grinding on the curb and thinking AAAGGGGGRRRRRR!!!! all that careful parallel parking wasted!!!

This is why we cant have nice things!!!!!!

No question. Totaled. Glad you're okay. Just let insurance buy you another one. Looks like your TRD exhaust is bent. Did you have insurance on your aftermarket wheels?

Do these cars have target symbols on them to make other cars hit them all the time or something?

It's so sad to see these threads...
If someone hit my twin and did that amount of damage, he wouldn't be able to walk for a good 6 months after I would be done with him. (And no, not in that way, you pervs, I've seen that "Are you gross thread")

I would say totalled. Hope you get a really,really good replacement after what that joker did to you. Hope you're alright.

well the other driver was at fault so his insurance company is paying for everything. he was speeding, talking on the phone, and got ticketed for running the red light. his insurance asked me to gather all my recipts and everything so provided its totaled it looks like ill be getting reimbursed for all that. sad thing is i just put all that stuff on... it barely had a couple hundred miles on it. if the accident had happened just days sooner i still would have had a garage full of parts for the replacement car...

seriously! i just knew something was going to happen to the car too... i just felt it. as soon as i installed all the parts and i sat back and looked at it, i knew it had a target on it...

Makes me scared to get one, in all honesty. I mean I know cars get wrecked all the time but it feels more common with this car. I had to part with my celica I had for over 10 years,I don't want to have to part with another one.

How're you feeling?
And did the guy get busted? I think talking on your phone, running a red light and slamming into you, did the police chew him a new one?

yeah he got ticketed for running the red light but there were no other witnesses besides me as to his speed. as for me, i still feel like i got hit by a car

i went to the ER the night of and got treated for acute back pain and sprained wrist... the wrist is starting to feel better but my lower back is getting worse and the pain is spreading down my left leg... so on monday i have an appointment to get xrays done and possible a scan if they thing its disk related.. good times
