Meaty Tire Thread

I have 18x10 +40 ZE40s and running 285/30/18 tires -2 camber up front and -2.5 camber in the rear.. Running KWV3 coilovers, whiteline adjustable toe arms, camber bolts and LCAs, HVT Camber Plates

I just lowered the car back down last night after installing the stoptechs.. So the springs haven't settled in yet, but the rears poke out like crazy..

As far as tire to spring clearance it seems to be ok, until I put some load on it.. Wanted to ask before I hit the road and cause some damage to my wheels and/or springs...

Anyone have any rubbing issues? @Jive Turkey @OmarGC @AutoRnD

Passenger rear

Passenger front

Man that is a lot of rear poke, mine are no where near that and I'm currently -1.7ish out back.

As far as rubbing I personally have no issues, but am also only on 265/35's both front and rear. I cant recall the username at the moment but there is someone rubbing under full lock up front on the inner brake line bracket/mount...

Rear camber doesn't look like -2.5 if front was -2.
Front should always poke more on a square setup as the back has extra ~10-15mm.

I think you're right.. I'll probably need to get an alignment again.. I did corner balance the car and the rear raised up a lot when I did it.. Thanks for the reminder!

Looking good Tyler. I been on the fence with getting these fenders and last night I seen a pic of a swp FRS with them and it had me sold. Now I'm torn again... This is the first pic that I've seen that shows a good angle of the differences in front and rear track. As much as it would benefit with an steering angle kit and sliding, I'm not sure if I could live without bringing the rear out.

Thank you for making me struggle again :'(

Lol thanks.

The front is about the same as the rear now as far as width goes. Think of it like an s14 running stock rear quarters and origin 20mm fronts.

I just purchased some Enkei RS05-RR 18x9.5 +43 square wheels for my wife's FRS. She has TRD springs. What is the max width I can go with before I hit the spring perch?

Yeah, as Jive said. You NEED a slip on spacer up front to clear the perch with that wheel. I know people here have run it without and it rubs.

I think a 3mm slip on is what people are using.

Not sure from what I've found everybody that has these has Coilovers not springs. So even going from a 245/40 or 255/35 should be the same then?
