It hasn't really been mentioned here but the idea of driving a RHD car in a LHD world sounds far cooler than the reality. I did it with an old Morris that may dad owned back in the early 70s and it sucked big time. Turns, passing and anything you needed to access from in the car were all total pains. I don't care what car it is the hassle and sometimes outright danger involved outweighs the cool factor by many points.

If I were to ever have a RHD car, I wouldn't daily drive it. It would basically just be driven to meets and/or shows. I have never driven one before, so I can't really comment, but wouldn't passing just be the same? If you're used to driving in the fast lane, then drive in the slow lane??? Only difficult part I can think of are right turns.

I can't imagine having a "wrong" side drive car for anything other than a garage queen.

Having said that though, it would still be vastly preferable to some RHD->LHD hack job.

I think it's probably easier equipping a LHD car with JDM parts than to convert a JDM car into LHD.
The mane reason that lion is harrier, is because it's not a female lion.

I will see myself out.

OP - S15 Spec Rs are going to cost 30-40k USD once they become 25yrs old. Considering you live in CA, the only way to even have the car be legal for street use is to go through a myriad of other processes in order to get it certified. The price to get that done varies. For an R32, it's around $10,000. For an R34, it was over $25,000.

Assuming it's closer to the former, you're going to be in nearly $50,000 everything said and done to have a stock glorified 240sx.

If you absolutely must have one, keep it RHD. Or buy one that came LHD from the factory. Better yet, move to a better state.

Conversions are stupid.

Find a LHD one, suck it up and drive RHD, or find another car.

If you've driven an S13/S14, you aren't really missing out on anything.

I'd never touch someone's else's conversion like that. There is a reason they don't want it anymore, and it is probably because of all the headaches.

The only reason to buy something from Japan is because it was a dream car when you grew up and you cannot find anything like it in the USA.

There are only a handful of models like that now. Anything else and just the cost of buying it makes it totally not worth it. Buying a car for double what it is really worth is just a bad idea.
