Yeah, theres a TSB for it. Here's the thread, its one of the ones near the bottom:

Print it out, or call and tell them its covered under TSB. Good Luck.

I actually walked through the TSB with both the dealership and Scion Client Success. I pointed out how Scion CPO boldy claims "You don't have to worry. You're covered." and "Covers any repair or replacement of components which fail under normal use due to a defect in materials or workmanship" and that while I understand weatherstrips are excluded from the warranty, this is a case of defect in materials as highlighted by the TSB and therefor should be included in my opinion. I told the guy at Scion that it's subjective whether or not to exclude it in this case.

Anyway, went to the dealership and they said they got a call from Toyota to "Good Will" the repair so it's getting fixed, just not under my extended warranty or my CPO. It's a bit of a bittersweet feeling but at least it's taken care of. If anyone else runs into this issue and is outside of the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty I suggest following a similar route that I did.

Necropost, back to the top you zombie!

Wind noise from rolled over door weather stripping is slowly driving me mad. After reading though this and other TSB threads I gave a Toyota Service center in Los Angeles a call.

$2k and change for them to do it out of warranty, only a couple hundred of that being parts.

I will forgo the updated switches and stabilizers. Replacing the front left and right door seals myself comes out to $190.

Anyone know if these are the correct updated parts? My google-fu is failing me

Mentioned in the TSB
SU00305207
SU00305208

What my local parts center has, and what I will probably purchase
SU00305803
SU00305804

Are these difficult to replace? I get some interesting wind noises but only at speeds i probably shouldn't be going so i haven't bothered yet. But it will only get worse.
