Would 0.5" change it that much? I am also getting Michelin PSS , which run a bit wider than usual. So it could just fit perfectly.

I dont really mind going wider , since that would save the headache. But I have read on here that wider tires do affect the steering feel of the car. And this cars power doesnt really need a really wide tire.

Maybe 225 on the front and 245 on the back?
Let me put it this way.

I am running Rays Gram Light 57xtremes.

Front; 18x8.5 +33
Rear; 18x9.5 +40

On the front I am running 245/35 tires.
On the rear I am running 255/35 tires.

I am running Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

I love how the front tire sits on the car. Looks nice a meaty and how it should look. The 255s on my 9.5 wheel almost looks a little stretched and the lip of the wheel sticks out a little bit.

Would 18x8.5 +30 fit flush? I don't want them poking out.

My 18x8.5 +33 poke just the tiniest bit up front. I was able to fix this just with camber bolts. If I wasn't lowered you probably wouldnt even be able to tell. You could only tell, before the camber bolts, if you lined up right in front of the fender.

If you are talking about the air valve stem, that is the TPMS.

Nope its something between the Center cap and the plate for the center cap. Nothing to do with TPMS ( At least I think ) , Since I got my TPMS transferred from my previous wheels.
