We pay 25k + dest, in the USA for

2.0T 274hp
Brembo Brakes
Torsen-type LSD
Track tuned suspension
Camber bolts
Red and Black interior with part leather/part cloth
Ipod dock and Bluetooth
No Cruise Control.

I can't think of another RWD sport coupe with more features for the money as a Mustang V6 Sport Package doesn't come with some of these features (No Brembo's on V6)including independent rear suspension.
Goddammit... Every time things get into pricing I have a panic attack that we are going to get screwed on the FR-S. (CDN price = US price +25% or something) I keep telling myself that Scion kept the tC difference pretty fair, but all the other manufacturers' 'halo' cars are brutally marked up.

I think the only way I could live with the new face is with a black car. Would kind of tone down the grill/bumper.

I am a bit worried now too

talked to north shore scion and they are saying 30K which I kinda laugh and said a 8k gap between the FRS and Tc means I wont be buying the FRS

That guy has to be clueless? Surely. Hopefully. As a new marque in Canada you think they'd want to pull buyers in, not scare them away.
If they put it at 30K, who is going to touch it - apart from the kids getting their parents to buy it - over the V6 Mustang or 2.0 Genesis Coupe?

Not much, I've pissed away far too much money on brand new cars modifying them.

Aside from suspension modification/tuning and switching out pads/lines/fluid, risking a denied warranty claim is not worth it for most people. There are, of course, those people who will blow something up and revert to stock in an attempt to defraud the manufacturer.

Anyone feel like this thread has gone completely tangential, several times?

One of our more on-topic threads. Should get an award or something. Fact that it is as long as it is shows that the GenCoupe will likely be a genuine competitor. At least in the sense that it will likely be cross-shopped with the twins.

Does anyone else get the feeling that the FR-S will be priced in between the 2.0T and 3.8? Instead of just cheaper than the 2.0T?

As long as the BRZ is $1000-1500 within the price of the 2.0T I will be ok with that.
