The one thing I noticed about his dyno numbers compared to Shiv's was that their torque are well within the expected variance due to different setups (not that I am saying the difference leaves the OFT300 with an inherent advantage). They were within 9-16 wh/tq of each other.

Thanks.

I thought his dyno looked very good and exactly what I expected, I just heard something about the files being locked around the ft86 campfire koolaid circle.

So, all that being said, can anybody download the oft300 .bin files?

Shiv can I take a look by any chance? I'd be curious to what a N/A map vs. a supercharged map would look like

Still trying to figure that out... Shiv only had a catback while mine had a full headerback exhaust. Ofh and borla seem to be Similar in design.

I think the dynos are the real big difference here which is why the wheel-torque is so different. Your number sound low compared to the base tune that comes with the full vortech kit so I think it is yours. Shiv's fit pretty well in line with what I have seen for other vortech dynos. It is for this reason that I make such specific not of the wheel torque produced.

Edit: I have not even been slightly trained in it, but if I had to guess, there was something off with the weather correction of the mustang. That, or the systems really are more different than I though.

I will have more dyno results. We are testing different pulleys at the moment trying to see how far we can go on the stock engine. Eventually getting down to the 3.125 pulley if possible. Other plans as well. I'll give a hint. Supercharger+supercharger+ built block

You can't compare results from a dynojet to a mustang dyno since they measure output differently. The mustang dyno is also subject to setup error when dyno operators use a wheelspeed factor (common practice) to estimate engine speed instead of an optical or ignition pickup which takes a bit more time. This is probably why it shows peak hp at lower rpm.

Fwiw, our test car make 240-245whp on a mustang dyno the day before it made 275-280whp on a dynojet.

I am very much considering purchasing OFT300... will the stock exhaust system (other than OFH) be very restrictive?

Our goal was to creat a forced induction kit offering that doesn't require any custom tuning or additional fiddling. And using the parts that we recommend allows for just this.

Substitute components can complicate matters a bit. But in the case of using another header, I think the issues are minimal.
Makes sense.

Wondering how screwed I am if I want to buy the OFT and Vortec SC but already have my own header and exhaust (JDL UEL header, JDL overpipe with no cat + HKS mid pipe with one cat + HKS Hi Power exhaust).

Totally custom tune needed? How easy to work something out with an OFT tune?

Trying to look for an easy, reliable 'system' as close as possible to being 'plug & play' and foolproof but the lack of one cat is really doing me in when it comes to most 'package' kits.

Not a problem. Our oft300 maps is intended for use with our OFH UEL header. It will work fine with your mods. I always review preliminary datalogs to ensure that all new oft300 users are running safely.
