I do think that the quality control on the '13s is not as consistent vs other years. Some 13's just seem to have issues vs mine which has been great for about 6 years and over 80k with no problems (except TOB). If a '13 is over 50k I'd wager it is probably just as reliable over its total life as any other year.
Both 13's I've owned had the wiring harness/coil issue. It's actually a flawed design so I feel bad for anyone who didn't do it under warranty . . .

Im not familiar with that issue, just did a bit of research. Strange mine has been fine and never had an issue. Does this only happen at the track?

I've never tracked my cars. It starts with issues starting the car where it'll start and then die. If it does happen to you at some point, make sure they put on a new wiring harness and not just the same old design coils, or it'll happen again.

I've often suspicioned that most of the 2013 cars that have had problems have engines that were messed with and or were tracked -

I think you may be right, because my car has never once failed to start on the first go in 6 years.

Same here. Six years, no CELs nor any other problems. - maybe we just got cars that were "blessed" -

The coil pack problem is mostly related to heat. If it you’re up north and never track the car then you are probably fine.

As for 50k being in the clear. Mine was at 83k miles when #3 went and the other three had brass coming through so they wouldn’t have been far behind. I think the previous owner just didn’t drive the car hard enough to have oil pressure issues. It probably never saw redline before I owned it. Under my ownership it sees redline a hand full of times a day. I also autox it. I suspect that if I owned the car from day one it would have gone much sooner. There were no signs of bolts being removed anywhere on the car and no other evidence of mods. The CD player came with a B52s CD in it if that tells you anything. Hahaha

Before anyone calls my driving abuse, I’ve run previous cars much harder than my FRS and didn’t have bearing failures. My old Integra GR-R was autoxed every month for about 4 years and saw redline anytime the roads were open. The only real issues I hard were syncros and pressure plates flying apart because I regularly flat shifted. I was young and drove like a retard. I did end up hydrolocking it in a flood and after that it was down hill with a spun bearing a year later year then 6 months later and then 2 months later. It also started burning oil due to the water damage to the cylinder walls which were still there even after boring to the service limit and running oversized pistons.
