Regardless, let's coordinate in the regional forum for a meeting this summer or fall.

Won't have my car but will let you know the date in October once it is firmed up. Will have my wife and some others with us so can't make it an all day thing. I will post a thread in the Regional sub when I know more about the agenda.

I'm late to the party, but I don't care for it. The reason British racing green works well on British sports cars is that British sports cars typically had a lot of chrome. They had chrome bumpers, chrome trim, chrome grilles, chrome strips, chrome wheels. When you have the chrome, it sets off very nicely against the BRG color on the body.

Our cars have none of that. Most cars these days have no or very little chrome on them compared to the '60s. The green just doesn't look right on today's cars without it. Build a classic style car (like a Morgan) with chrome, and it will look right again.

A couple of years ago somebody here was photoshopping other colors on the 86 by request, and I requested BRG. It was a disappointment then in the mockup. It's a disappointment now in reality.

Oh, sorry... But I very much disagree with you.
The Lotus Exige Sport 350 looks spectacular in metallic green and there isn't any chrome visible anywhere on that car.

Highly disagree. The c7 I posted earlier only has one chrome accent on the grille, various wheel options are available but the black ones.... dang!!! When the chrome on those older cars is blacked out, or even current examples that have no or little chrome to begin with.... much better. Green and black is a winning combo. Even older "BRG" miatas didnt have chrome accents really and those were some of the sharpest available versions of the car.

Only green car I've owned was a '77 Honda Civic 4-door like this one. It also had a tan interior. Loved the way that car looked. (Mine had different wheels, a "nerf bar" on the front bumper, and wider rear tires, yea I know don't judge)

Yeah, do let us know when you're headed this way and we'll do our best to make time to get out and have a beer.

I agree with Extra if we are talking about the "normal" type paint in the green. It is just too bland so needs something like chrome to set it off and make it pop. When we throw a pearl coat on it like the C7 and Lotus that is a whole new ballgame and the chrome becomes redundant.
That is why I said I WANT as long as a pearl paint.

Sounds like good times. My dad had the same civic when he was in college.

*I think it's beige........or the photo was just too old.

My dad had a white 74. That thing was so cool. I remember we came home from the beach and I left my shirt in the car. I went out side to grab my shirt and when I did it snagged the shifter and pulled it into neutral and down the driveway it went. Luckily our neighbor had a bush at the end of his driveway which stopped the car without damaging it. My dad ended up selling it to my neighbors lawn guy for $500. It had some rust issues which my dad fixed and then repainted so the car looked really good when he sold it. To this day he regrets selling that car.

I wonder how well that seat color would pair with a red exterior.
