shifter is after the header, which is very close now first harness is in production and we should have it soon. most of the hard work is already done as far as the oem integration goes since its similar to our 2j/ls package.

crankcase vent. nice thing about the honda motors is that almost everything billet exists already. I have seen a few press in 90 degree fittings to replace that straight one with

The more time passes, the more I like this. I just hope my current engine will last enough for this project to be finished, so I can move straight into it!

There was some back and forth on this in the other thread with some sources. The K24A1 with stock header, starter, and alternator (no trans/flywheel/clutch/AC/cat in the header) is ~283 lbs on a scale.

No, we decided to not even go that route because the stock trans is garb.. not reliable . I have people with bone stock FA20s that have synchro issues, and Its not worth the R&D to make a plate and everything in my opinion.

Okay - questions for the source:
1) With the Motec kit will it be possible to retain ABS, Factory Tach, and fuel level? 2) Who produces the adapter kit to mate the S2000 trans to the K24? Understanding that this is an FT86 forum and not a Honda site, there are many who have experience with both platforms. I am not one however. So I ask: 3) I have heard hearsay that 250 hp is possible N/A with a factory K24 bottom end. Is that reliable? I mean dead-stone, lap after lap, beat on it, road course car reliable? 4) What is involved in making that kind of power? Will a set of Cams / head porting / headers / tune get you there? Thanks guys! |

Question, which motor is the one used in the swap exactly? Im sorry im a complete clueless guy outside of this particular car. From all I read about honda Kseries, there are a couple of k24 but all of them seem to make anywhere from 130 to 180hp, is it just possible to get like 60-100hp out of these engines in NA form?
I basically just want to know the engine code so I can look up a bit more in the details of perf parts for it and local prices of used engines around here. Preparing for the future basically. |

I'm also ignorant when it comes to Honda's. I know my way around a car, but I don't have the time or tooling to rebuild a junker. 4Piston seems reputable, and a built engine for 8k doesn't sound too expensive. You can at least read into their exploits to get an idea as to what mods get you power.
This is what I'm looking at: http://www.4pistonracing.com/k24-340...omplete-engine "*The high flow CNC cylinder head and high lift camshaft allow this engine to accelerate its 340hp aggressively beyond 9000 rpm." Sent from my SM-G9600 using Tapatalk |

Are the S2K transmissions that much more robust than ours? I'd thought they were somewhat related in design, and so would be in the same ballpark for overall strength. Keeping our transmission would simplify things somewhat...no shifter rework or custom driveshaft needed, etc. Plus, aren't you using an adapter plate for the S2K transmission to the K motor anyways..?
