AJR doesn't make these, they pick whatever is cheap off of a site like Alibaba.com and put their name on them. They posted up here a while ago with some coilovers for this car that were just Impreza ones, because they fit. They had screwed up spring rates and tried to explain that it didn't matter because the struts were inverted and made the rate less, which is an unbelievably stupid and ignorant statement.

They also were trying to get away without being a paying sponsor when they did it.

So if AJR is now buying a real 86 design for Bor Chong or Megan or K-Sport and relabelled them, that's a tiny improvement. If you want a cheap coilover, skip these T1R and save money by buying straight from the Taiwanese manufacturers.
I dont find the point for me to advertise for the coilover as i do not work for AJR. I wouldn't spending my time to write the review if i did not like my coilovers.

A lot of aftermarket brands are sharing the same manufacture coz owning a factory is very costly. I wouldn't be surprised if AJR is sharing same manufactory with other brands. Buying cheap coils like from alibaba.com and relable them is just your assumption

I'm pretty sure they do rebrand other designs as their own coils..

I am also running the T1R coil-overs (F.6k R.6k) with the same wheel setup but the only difference is, I am running Advan AD08 255/35/18 and less aggressive alignment. My ride is comfy and after dialing it up, it reduces a fair amount of body roll, I love them !

I got mine installed at AJR. They did an excellent job doing all the settings like corner balance, ride height adjusted and aligned. They also have me to adjusted the car to suit my driving I came from FF so at this stage, I prefer more understeer before I can control side ways

The suspension held up very well at the track and when my instructor was driving my car, he is very impressed with the setup. Just a little more info for my instructor, he races Spec Miatas.

Might want to let Mr Leung know that having employees post as 'happy customers' here is a forum rules violation.

You were promoting them on Revscene as late as 2009. Roughly when that 'other stuff' happened and you guys lost a fuck-ton of credibility in the Honda community. It's non-stop bs with you guys..m

Cheer up ! I was never on Revscene ! Are you sure that was me ? Regardless, if I am a AJ customer then should I be discriminated ?

FYI,

Quote:
1) Respect. By far the most important rule here. Basic rules of real life apply here - show each other respect and you will get respect as well. Don't bash someone else here because you feel like it. Disrespectful, derogatory or insulting attitudes or remarks will not be tolerated. This applies to all corners of the site - including posts, profile visitor messages, and thread tags.

Because you have an admitted business connections with a vendor. Or a really popular screen name that just happened to be an official rep on other forums but only coincidentally repping the same things here with the same name...

And vendors have to pay.

This thread starts with a copy-paste of an ad for the product. Then here you 'another satisfied customer'. Who, only when pressed, admit to working for the product's importer and give a timeframe inconsistent with the rest of the forums out there.

Blatantly commercial posts belong in the commercial section.

And threads of vendors trying to sneak around paying tend to get locked.

All of them.

Go get yourself a pretty blue username and promote your stuff in the Commercial section.

If you think the pictures are being copied and pasted of ad for the product then you should report it. It will make yourself look bad if those pics actually from by jau's FRS !

I don't work for any of the vendor here. Most of the members who posted a product review mentioned the "BRAND" or where they got it from. As long as they are supporting the vendor, I don't see an issue.

I bet you have not even see the product or driven an FRS or BRZ with the product so how do you judge if they are good or bad, legit or not ? You said they are sh8t because of your bias ?

My name has ajrcow on it and does the forum rules said that if I have a similar name then I couldn't make any reviews ?

I have submitted a report about this thread to the administrator so let's wait and see what he says.

Yes. It would be good to avoid another Vivid situation.

I have said it in my previous post, this is a REVIEW, not an ad... Stop making assumptions when you do not even know me... it sounds really silly to me.

Also you are being off topic, this is a REVIEW thread. Stop making bias assumptions if you have nothing to share or ask about my current setup.

Description
T1R offers 44mm piston MONOTUBE tube design for maximum dampening ranges for street and track. T1R also offers camber, 30 way rebound adjustable, ride height/stroke and spring preload adjustable for wide range suspension setting and tuning. Made out of CNC machined chromoly steel (with rust-proof coating) built for heat dissiapation and to reduce unsprung weight. Comes with front pillowball uppermount , adjust wrenches and necessicity hardware for installation. SAE9254 Cold forming springs are equipped with the damper kit.
It's the description that reads like an ad.

The complaint is primarily directed at ajrcow, who represents(ed) AJR. His support 'review' is hardly coincidence. They tried to operate with out paying sponsorship when they first joined and are trying again. They have a history in other car communities of shady business and operations. Along the lines of Vivid/Agency Power. This is more of the same.

But as he previously noted, Admin has a report now and they can deal with it.
