inspection sticker question
So i got a buddy of mine to get me an inspection sticker on my old car from a guy he knows that owns a shop. The sticker has my car info on it, and it seems legit. But for some reason it is blue, and not green like all the other ones i see. I did find some on google that were blue http://cdn.airforums.com/forums/atta...1&d=1342649955 Does anyone know the reason for this?

Illegally* got me a sticker. My old car wouldnt pass. My dad wants me to get two more, but im not sure if it is a good idea. Want to make sure they are legit stickers, but curious about the colors.

Interesting. Well, up here new year is a new color. If your color doesn't match they'll know something is up. Not sure about texas. Find out for sure because you really don't want to be caught with a counterfeit inspection sticker (if that's what it is). If he processed a legal inspection and it's a real sticker then you won't have any issues (but he might one day.)

Go here...
http://mytxcar.com/mytxcar.dll/EXEC/...17sn9w00muzqtz Then put in the number on the front of the sticker or your VIN number in tge search box and it will tell you if the sticker is for your vehicle. I think the different colors have to do with the year of the vehicle. Blue for 87 and older vehicles. Last edited by UltraFRS; 12-02-2012 at 08:29 AM. |

Well I'm not a 100% on the color meaning the year...but that is what I read somewhere.
