My car was trouble as well, Subaru left a really gross taste in my mouth and how Toyota handled it make it even worse. Should have just stopped throwing warranty money at it and give me another FR-S.

Other than dealership-induced engine failure after warranty work on leaking timing chain cover and valve recall, and a leaking cam coverplate I fixed by replacing it with a RaceSeng plate (with dealer approval), I have had no trouble with the car at 90K miles so far. I did replace brake discs and pads myself, and front wheel bearings, but I don't count that as car trouble for the mileage. I DO maintain the car, and there are no mods.

Once you mod a car... all bets are kinda off at that point. 3rd owner of mine and second twin I have owned. Its been solid so far. Just started getting the coil pack issue at the track.

Leather interior is super overrated. Part of why I picked this car was because it doesn't have leather. Hated the leather seats in my old car because I'd end up with a damp back in hot weather.

Understood. There are definitely tradeoffs and compromises. I've had cheap vinyl, good vinyl, cloth, expensive synthetic leather, less-than-average quality leather, and good quality leather seats. Cheap.vinyl is the worst. I agree that cloth/fabric seats breathe well and are comfortable, but in my experience they show wear and stain more than good synthetic or real leather and, since they don't allow any sliding, as a male things tend to get a little....ahem...crowded and unnaturally arranged while driving if you know what I mean. A good synthetic perforated leather is my favorite, followed by the real thing.
