HKS Stroker Kit or Lower Compression Setup?

Since my engine seems to be dying (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104222) I decided to upgrade internals rather that rehauling the stock block.

Unfortunately I am still on HKS v2 SC (my 2nd as the first one died after 5000 miles) and will keep it till its inevitable death a bit down the road. Currently it is with the 43 mm restrictor which allows it to blow 0.75 bar = 11 psi. Unrestricted this thing could blow up to 1 bar =14.5 psi which I'm planning to do upon upgrading internals. Delicious Tuning T&G tune currently, will either ask Bill for remote tuning after upgrade of internals or will have to dyno tune it with one of local guys who apparently gained some expreince with FA20 by now.

The question I have now is whether to lower the compression to 10 and go with some Carillo/CP rods/pistons set or go full HKS and put a stroker kit + maybe camshafts too:

http://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/produc...city/fa20.html

With 1 mm HKS gasket it should be about 12 compression ratio.

I've seen recently a number of posts on this forum against lowering compression for not super powerfull 450-500+ hp builds which is my case (320-340 at 14.5 psi is the expected outcome of the exercise). Curious to hear other opinions!

Keep the stock compression if you plan on staying sub 500 hp, my 2 cents.

Nope. FI (HKS v2 Supercharger) in both cases. NA is off the table.

Dont lower compression via headgasket. Use aftermarket pistons.
