Some GoPro:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYmYwxAMPmM"]February 23rd - Redwood Rd Loop - YouTube[/ame]

At 3:05 I lost a little traction going up hill. It was very unexpected as I wasn't going very fast at all, nor turning very tight. It looks like there was something wet on the road so I think that was the contributing factor.

Also later on in the drive, a pair of motorbikes caught up to us and one of them was riding my ass... it was incredibly distracting. In hindsight I should've just ignored it and payed more attention to the road in front of me.

Eventually they passed us at what I thought was a really dangerous time... the cars in front of me were passing some bicyclists when these ****s decided to pass the caravan. When they pulled over later on, one of em was counting the cars.

PS: the rattle/clicking is from a plastic bottle rolling around in the passenger side door. It was bugging the hell out of me the whole time.

yeah I think Qui tried to warn me over the radio that they were coming up behind us and overtaking, but I didn't really get that until they showed up in my rearview. I figured they were itching to go fast so I gave them some room and let them pass, but once they got by I decided to give chase for a little bit and to my surprise they weren't really going that fast. I kept up with them for a while until we all came up on that slower SUV and we all piled up behind that for a while until the 2 bikers pulled over. By then we were at the end of the route more or less so just a cruise to the finish.

Ughhh... definitely need to go for a drive this weekend. Especially after midterms.

Are there ever any meets/drives near Napa? I feel like most of the activity is in the east bay.

Not usually due to the small number of owners in the area. Every once in a while some does a drive near Berryessa. The closest meet would be the Thursday vallejo meet run by @1SIKFRS but it isa subaru meet not twin specific.

Are there any good roads you know of? It would help give us an idea of what there is and maybe make the drive up.

We did a drive to Mt. Tam once (started in Fairfax). Not exactly Napa, but definitely closer to you than San Jose or Hayward. @BigFatFlip is it time we do this drive again?

@Pwolf and I just drove 128 by lake Berryessa on Presidents day (although not together, barely at the same time and going opposite directions ). Perhaps we could do another one with a little bit more heads up for other folks to join? I've driven around the area but not too familiar, so suggestions for other routes would be great! (Looking at google maps, 121 looks so sexy with its curves and smooth asphalt )

Also, not really necessary to wait for anybody to organize one. If you feel like going for a drive, post here and others will voice their interest, then you can organize as needed. That is the whole point of this thread, so hit that subscribe button

Been wanting to do that drive again (was supposed to be the drive I was going to do a couple weeks back, but my schedule+turn-out changed my mind). I'm free this Sat afternoon if anybody wants to go either Berryessa or Mt. Tam

I was thinking Sat morning, since Hwy 1 gets very busy with cyclists and traffic in general. Though it might be less so if the weather sucks.

Let me throw it out there to everyone... who would be interested in a drive Saturday morning that starts in Fairfax (at Fairfax Coffee Roastery), goes up to Mt. Tam and ends somewhere? And what time would you want the drive to start?

Oh jeez guys... I don't make the weather! I honestly hope it doesn't rain cause then more people will likely come to the drive. We could always move it to Sunday morning cause it's less likely to rain. But I can't wake up before 11am on a Sunday.

I'm down regardless of weather. I'll see how I feel as we get closer so start time doesn't really matter for me.

Indecisiveness. I have it.

I won't know if I can go until closer to the weekend, as I have other plans being formed outside of my control... but do it whenever you guys think is best and I'll try to make it.
