Check engine light came on (p0172)
Morning Guys.
Yesterday both my CEL and LS light came on. The LS turn off by itself after about 30 miles of driving the CEL is still on . I pull out my handy dandy OBD II and I pulled this code (p0172 System too rich bank 1 ) . The only mod I have is a axle back exhaust and a Perrin crank pulley. The question I wanted to know is do you think the mods that I have on my FRS would throw this kind of code ? I am going to the dealer tomorrow and don't want to get scammed. Im thinking its a O2 sensor . Thanks !! |

I don't think either of those mods would cause that. If you had an intake, maybe...but not a pulley and muffler replacement

I wouldn't mention the mods, though - the muffler may be obvious, but the pulley might get overlooked. There is no plausible way they can link the muffler and that code.

Can you scope out your data stream with engine running ? If so what is the voltage reading of the O2 with the fault active ?
