Brake question

Long time lurker, first time post.

I am thinking of buying a BRZ to take on HPDE track days.

I'm having a little bit of a time finding one with the factory Brembo brakes. Are they worth the hassle of trying to find one or just save my money for an aftermarket brake set up????

If you're serious about getting the best performance possible you may also want to look at other Brembo kits offered by CSG (bigger rotors?), Or AP Racing / Essex.

Performance Package is a great value for money though, and perhaps even more so on used cars, since usually fancy options depreciate quicker than most of the car.

Unless you're planning on doing extended sessions on slicks, just a nice set of motorsport brake pads and good fluid will be plenty, even without the Brembos. Using motorsport pads with the Brembos will yield even longer life.

Check out the CSG pads review thread.

Honestly you are better off buying a Miata.
