ran out of things to watch on amazon, so i'm breaking into my knight rider season dvd's. it's interesting how the a-teams premise was that no one died, where knight rider seems to be how often they can re-use the same footage in at least every other episode.
it's also fun to see all the vehicle damage, like they don't care to admit how many vehicles they're destroying. people complain about movies/shows on a budget now, the stuff they got away with shooting knight rider makes even some of the current amateur stuff look amazing.

It's gotta be the most disheartening thing to hear about parents/grandparents falling and getting injured. It's such a slap in the face and a sobering reminder that we're all getting older and more frail day by day.

Yep, my Army training (PLF - Parachute Landing Fall) and "combat roll" technique has saved me from many of injuries from falls here in the last few years. My only advice when you get older is to look down before you step and think about it before jump anywhere. humfrz |

Welp, I got the new garbage disposal installed today. The plumbing wasn't too bad, but the electrical was a bitch. The electrician who originally wired it up got a bit carried away or mis-read the code requirements.
There was a HD piece of romex coming out of the wall with wires heavy enough to wire a 220 motor. THEN, that was cased in some very inflexible, flexible conduit. What did they think, somebody was going to be using a chain saw under there and cut the wiring! Now this monster was to be wired into the disposal motor, whose wires were about the size of speaker wire. All this being done while I was on my back, upside down, in the cramped space under the sink, with a bunch of other plumbing. Although I did decide to "lighten up" on the wiring, so I could lift that sucker up into place. Yep, it runs and doesn't smoke, no sparks flying and no leaks - I'm too old for this shit! humfrz |

I have one of those Insinkerator instant hot water dispensers. Anyone have one? I don't think mine works very well. I looked up the serial number and it was made in '06. In the mornings I'll try to get water to pre-heat my coffee cup and nothing comes out, then 5 minutes later it is spewing steam and water out its relief valve. Easier just to put a cup in the microwave. I unplugged the stupid thing.

10 homes on community well. Water seems hard. I figure it is probably caked inside.
