Moved to the Norman area last week from Lawton. Don't know anyone up here and looking to make some friends in the area. Anyone in the area?

Report on Hallett Raceway
On October 26th I ran my car at Hallett in the HST DE devision for lapping. It was my first time on any track including autocross. It was a great experience. Everyone was helpful and very nice. it's a wonderful track and the curves suit the car very well. I did have one moment when my eyes got as big as silver dollars. The driver in the front car put his car into a spin at around 70mph. There was a big cloud of smoke and i just hit the brakes not knowing where to go. I didn't want to go off on the grass at that speed. All was well. It turned out to be a really fun day Everyone should try it. I ran the track on Michelin SS Pilots and they did very well. Air pressure at 32 PSI

Sounds great. I love my Michelin PSS's. I always meant to go to Hallet with WRX and never did. I will need to get up to Hallet in March or whenever the next session is.

Anyways, this is my first post in the Oklahoma threads. So everyone here in OK... hello. It looks like there have been meets or hang out sessions in the past here around OKC. When is the next one?

Jp-- I live in Norman. Close to North High

Okie-- That sounds awesome. I'd like to make my way up to one of those events.

Brzaapi- welcome! It's still a bit of a disjointed group thus far on the meetup front. :p

Everyone-- Last OK region SCCA autocross of the season on Nov 3 at Remington Park. The Northeast Region (Tulsa) has an autocross same day at Fair Meadows Tulsa State Fairgrounds.

Awesome Bernie, glad you got to go to Hallett. Thanks for the report. Get any pics?

I'd like to go some day, but need to get new tires first. Looking at PSS's too.

Thanks! I am interested in checking out this FBM turbo setup. Trying to not go boosted so soon, but oh so intrigued.

Well, I can tell you I love my FBM setup so far and I haven't even had the chance to run my E85 map. It will add an additional 130whp to my current
270whp that it runs on 91. I have kept my psi levels very low. I don't care to set records or even be the baddest BRZ on the road. I am past that now, I used to be that way with earlier cars, but now I just like to drive my car....err faster than most people. Anways, if you want to see my build thread it is under the FORCED INDUCTION topic, and the thread header is "My trip to FBM ....FBM premium turbo kit" . I would add a link, but honestly I have no clue how to do it.

I really am leaning toward the twinscrew blower setup because I would get hungry for more. My STi is the fast car, this is just my beater. I do love driving it and know that it would be much nicer with another 100hp or so.

We have a local Sprintex dealer and he's been chatting with me on the local Subaru forum about picking up a BRZ. I just need to get my STi back on the road before I really spend much more on the BRZ.

I think once I look at a turbo I'll have a hard time staying away. I do have a GT3076R coming off of my STi and a friend who's a bad ass welder/fabricator. Maybe I can have him knock out the piping and intercooler... Damn, must resist!

Well, you already got a great turbo. The piping shouldn't be to hard. The main thing would be the tuning. It is a much more fun ride with the extra power. Since you already have an STI being your power ride, you wouldn't need to go crazy with HP to have more fun in the BRZ. She takes to the extra power real well. Met my expectations and I have played with several cars in the past to include a couple of WRX/STi's and even turbo'd a Cayman S once. So I have a few cars to compare it too. Good luck to you and if you have any questions I will do my best to answer.

Very nice, looks awesome! Did you retain stock wheel height? Wheel and tire specs? And how much of a drop did you do?
