Thats true, specially with this type of high-compression engine!

How are the knock sensors on this engine btw? How quick and sensitive are they? Modern ECUs tend to have pretty fast processors that overcome knock with corrections in a glimp! Hope this is the case here

I believe there are a pair of conventional knock sensors. As far as the performance of the oem knock control i can't comment much but i can't say I've heard audible knock ever like we did when the STi first came out.

Now on my car when developing the map for the Hydra EMS I had to find the detonation sealing and well you can hear it loud and clear. We then lower the thresholds so knock control is proactive just after normal engine noise. Knock voltage curve was nice and smooth on my engine so it was easy to build a nice and safe knock strategy.

I wasn't ready yet to "promote" and then not be able to deal with the influx of questions and demand, etc. At this point it would make sense as I have a good handle on the tuning situation now.

John, I figured I would ask in here as it would blowup with a bunch of "simple" questions if I asked in your thread.

Are you able to scale load values in the EcuTek flash yet? Have you confirmed that the stock ROM will exceed 100 load? I'm sure you know why I'm asking...

Thanks John!

I have some ECU CAN logs to share as well. I've already decoded a bunch of locations, but put it on the back burner after I saw Toyota announcement that they would publish the CAN address map themselves.

PM me if interested in my logs and address map.

Yes and yes..

They also found a bunch of direct injection maps.

Next step is finding out what map sensor the car has.. And what we can use in its place for boosted applications.

Anyone got any pics or info?

omni? How large are you going(boost)? Do you already have access to the MAP scaling tables? Holy crud you defined this ROM quick if you do. I have omni settings if you need them.

I'll pm if you want them...

***I searched but could not find it fast enough, I need some info for a vendor before they receive their car:

1) Is the ECU a Subaru-based protocol? I believe that it is since ROM Raider works...

2) Denso makes the stock ECU correct?

Thanks!
