Nothing wrong with looking good. I just don't have the eye for it. So walking cliche it is.

DSS retains it either. The problem is with the cover which is on the stock DS itself and fully covers the connection area protecting it from any dust. Both DSS and PST don't have it. However, from pictures, it looks like that PST has slightly narrower gap, maybe 2-3 mm but not sure (own DSS myself).

I mean the silver/aluminum cup on the gearbox, not the black collar on the stock driveshaft.

Yeh.that.

I'm floored that folks buy this stuff, yet know one can tell me which shaft is made using what parts, spicer vs non, alum vs steel or something beyond the weave in the carbon, even that I want to see pics of both

Does anyone know where each shaft is made?
More pics please of your shaft

After re-reading, Efferalgan is right, we were talking about the same thing - the gap between the silver cup and the aftermarket driveshafts which have no black collar.

I wonder how important this is for winter driving, especially on salted roads. Would the joints rust? @Efferalgan, any issues with your DSS driveshaft so far?

Yeah I'm surprised there isn't more info on the CF ones especially at 1k. The aluminum ones seem straight forward and is less than half as much.

Considering it nearly equals the weight reduction of the lightest wheels you can get for this car yeah it should help.
