Nah, checked browsing history. The only thing the wife does is horoscopes and The Daily Mail. Maybe those Kim Kardashian articles she claims to hate as she reads every one?

Some tracking is done at the router level. So based on your household, not just your device.

Come to think of it, I have only done it with a tablet I have at work connected to the guest Wifi.

Where are you seeing the weird ads? Home or work?

Either way, could be that people at one end are looking up those types of things, and then some ads could be location-targeted or such vs. specifically to your device.

For instance at work when I've been using my phone on the normal authenticated wifi, sometimes I'll get some super random ads for things I literally never search, but can pretty closely assume coworkers look up.

Well, now …. that's enough fun for one day...
