Getting back from NY today. People might think I'm crazy, but I really miss driving in the mid Hudson Valley. The roads are bad and narrow and twisty but the speed limits are high and there's more road per unit of population which makes it fun to just drive around

Dude.

We moved from Warwick, NY to the sticks outside of Lockport when I was eight.
Went back to visit a few years ago with @Tcoat. Riding shotgun in his wife's sweet new SUV, I spent most of my time staring out the window wishing I was driving the frs.

What part of the state? I actually like it quite a bit up in NW area of MI around Silver Lake.

Yeah, at least I got to drive a few years on the fun stuff. Didn't really have sporty cars to drive at the time, but I may have set a local minivan record or two. My dad challenged me to conserve fuel, but he never complained about the speed that I conserved fuel at. "Anyone can mash a pedal and go fast. The real trick is to use as little fuel as possible to do it." Thus I learned how to drive without brakes.

It was requested that I bring my larger car (Regal TourX) to drive people around so I did not have my FRS with me. Probably for the best or I would have spent less time with my family and probably made my wife throw up again...

Uh, that’s like middle west of the lower peninsula

Yeah, the bottom third of lower peninsula is kinda boring. I mean that’s where all the people and stuff are, but best scenery and roads are definitely up north.

Got a white n black panda Trueno… I mean Solterra (Limited model).

In the end monthly payment came out to be $10 more than HL monthly payment. Gonna calculate monthly insurance cost plus fuel/electric cost to see if I’m spending more or less than HL.
