The TQ300 is likely at least 8 months away. It's just in the beta phase right now.

Any guesstimate on how much it will be to upgrade from TQ250 to TQ300?

No idea. Rob has said there will be a upgrade option. The main thing is that you have the beefier control box that can do 5.5kw. So far everyone except for a couple of the very early testers have the bigger controller.

Once you have the controller it is a simple compressor swap.

The only catch is that the draw of the tq300 means you need more battery capacity and recharge capacity to run it as long as the 250.

For all these reasons it is still in testing. If you are on the fence about the 250 don't worry, Rob is a fair guy and will have a upgrade / swap plan for those looking for more

Thanks for the quick response. I'm guessing I'd be satisfied with the 250+header+tune...

But you never know.

It's not so much a matter of on the fence as that while I work full time as in house counsel for a corporation, I'm funding car upgrades on the little bit of work I do on the side. Waiting on 3 checks to get here before I make a final decision on what upgrades to buy.

@BuTang and I installed this new harness.

- auto on/off relay integrated into cable
- tint/diffuser on digital display
- one wire with ATM fuse for switched +.

We found a great switched source located in the fuse box under and to the left of the steering column. The ATM fuse just plugs into a vacant spot! The relay sits in the pass-through in the center console about 2 1/2' from the fuse box.

I will be adding this to the kits as well as routing instructions to the install manual.

THANKS BUTANG!!! (~10 mins for him to install and tuck/ zip tie)

Will this be available for the early adopters who already purchased a kit?

does this require an aftermarket header, or can it just work with the stock header and OFT?
