PERRIN 3" BIG MAF CAI

Hey guys, had anyone installed the big 3" cold air intake on their 86, which requires a tune( rescaling the MAF) to be precise. I'm not familiar with tuning and whatnot and have been getting great help from the forum members on how to rescale this. I ordered the OFT From Vishnu and am awaiting that now. As soon as I receive it, I will install my 3" CAI, then Plug my OFT and read it to my ECU, then use my laptop to adjust the scaling given by Perrin. Then Write it using the proper stage of course, which in my case would be EL header stage 2. Does this seem about right or am I missing something? Should I read my ECU Before or after I install my 3" CAI?

With the oft reading the stock rom file is how you marry the oft to your car. Your just reading the stock tune into the oft which can be written back any time you like. Any variable parameters like learned fuel trims or knock correction IAM values are set back to default\cleared each time you flash a tune or reset ecu, eg disconnect battery..

The perrin 3" maf definitly requires the custom scaling supploed by perrin else car will drive like crap and may run lean at high rpm.

Ok and last ?, if I tuned my car to Stage 2 EL headers and didn't install my 3" Perrin yet can I always do that later and just scale the MAF to handle the 3"?

I also have this intake and need the codes from Perrin! Could you share these codes for the tuning?
