There's already two bolts under the centre console liner.

I saw that and liked it, but the Big Bend Open Road Race requires a 2.5 lb extinguisher which is too big for that space. It's also pretty heavy, so my setup will have 4 mount points instead of 2.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but how did you guys remove the bolts holding the passenger seat rails down? They appear to be E-TORX bolts and must have some thread locker on them as I was unable to break the seal.
My fire extinguisher (2.5lbs) won't fit in the center console so I built a custom brace to mount in front of the passenger seat and attach to the rail bolts. Buying a breaker bar to try and get more leverage. Will that be enough? Currently using an 8mm socket, but figure I should get a proper E-TORX socket. Any idea what size the bolt is in E-TORX sizing? |

Make sure you use a eTORX socket, e10. As you'll most likely thread the nut if you use a normal socket.

Any new options or ideas? I liked the look of the one, but links are dead. |

I have an aluminium bracket on the front seat bolts, its fucking annoying!
I am thinking of putting nutserts into the floor, then mounting it to them Also, CAMS now say the bracket has to be mounted with high tensile bolts...

Made an aluminium plate that bolts in using the original center console bolt holes. Extinguisher bracket mounts to the plate. Very securely bolted in and has passed scrutineering. Looking at it I'm sure it was designed deliberately.
