OK, let's try Sunday morning right when they open... hopefully won't be too busy then. Bring your K1 membership cards, your helmets if you got em... if not, they will provide.

And we complain about traffic at the track

Have fun today

TBH, if my daughter's hula finishes when it's supposed to at ~6pm. Jeremiah and I will be going to K1 after. I'll need the relief after 8hrs of hula work

Sac K1 is 2 exits from my work and I like to go on Thurs lunch or afternoons. I bring my own helmet and they let me choose run groups too, but I usually choose the noobs since I like to have a false sense of supperiority . Kid groups are hit or miss since those fuckers can be really fast!
I'm down. Some of the Dublin guys will tour other K1 tracks. I'll go to Sac K1 if you go to Dub K1

What's the Sac lap times look like? Dublin experienced drivers are in the 20s sec range. However, 19s sec is very good.

Yes, we've seen some of the kids make donuts around other kids but they don't yet qualify (height wise) for the adult carts. In the meantime, gives my son some good lines to follow.

Sounds like the track in Sac is slightly longer. Fast folks are around mid 20's. I started around the low 30's and currently platued at 29 even and haven't improved since. Goal is to get around 27-28, in which I'd be just as fast as the regulars on a "meh" day. Funny enough, I've been in some groups with scrawny little kids that can hit that. Need to work on that "power to WEIGHT" ratio I guess lol... But can't get enough of that chicken joy!

No worries, Chris and I had a good time. We'll be sure to come back! We got lucky and 2 of the 3 sessions we had entirely to ourselves. But it would have been great to get a few more of our guys to join in.

One lesson learned, 3 races with minimal downtime in between is ... a little ambitious. I was pretty worn out after 2 sessions, in fact I kind of faded out in the 2nd session and had to back it off. Both of us were in the 20s range but Chris had me handily beat by about 0.5s ...

I was surprised by how quiet it was. Guess going right when it opens really pays off. The track is a lot of fun and very technical. I'm looking forward to going back sometime soon. Hopefully with more people next time. Gotta break in to the 19s!

From which direction? Winters? I can't anyway since Xmas morning is family time, but I have Tues morning off and was thinking of driving up that way to Napa, check out any fire damaged areas along the route.

Oh nevermind lol. What road do you take? Wooden valley to 121? Love that north stretch of 121 right before it hits 128. I'll probably take that route (128 to 121) then stop for a sandwich at Vineburg deli, then head back. If anybody is interested in joining, I'll be leaving Sac around 8am

Went for a drive with my family today down to Monterey/Carmel by the Sea. The main reason is we decided to check out the 17 mile "drive". I decided to drive my car with my brother since we wouldn't all fit comfortably in the family mazda3, which made things much more enjoyable! I actually thought the 17 mile road would be more fun for driving, but it turns out it's more of just a private road with scenic lookouts and tourists, though I'm sure if they closed it off they could figure out a fun route for some spirited driving through the woods and around the coast . It's definitely worth doing once for the views if you enjoy looking out at the ocean and relevant things.

The drive itself wasn't too bad; we basically did 101 to 156 to 1, and then hwy 1 to 17, etc. back to the bay area.
