I walked thru and around the goose about 30 years ago when it was in socal. I think Disney owned it then. It's pretty cool.

Bcj and I went through it, watched all the movie clips and examined the whole plane in detail. Ultra stood at the cutaway engine and pushed the button to make it cycle over and over and over and over and over for about 3 hours.

We went to Orlando for our Honeymoon because 1) we are both amusement park fans and 2) my in-laws gave it to us as a gift without consulting us.

Unfortunately we could married in August so most of our "for public consumption" honeymoon pictures are of one or the other of us standing in line to get water or other liquid refreshments.

Still we had a great time.

They still have the original SOCAL required beach balls installed in the goose.

Vegassssss babby! The desert southwest has some of the greatest geology for driving around.
Or Tail of the Dragon.

Vegas is fun if you don't have to small a budget.

On the theme parks/rides thing and since you are on the East Coast (I think), you could do what my family did a few summers back, hit a lot of theme parks.

We did Carowinds, Kings Island, Cedar Point with a stop at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 6 days. We rode something around 60 coasters that week. By the end of the week I had what I'm pretty sure was a minor concussion but would do it again tomorrow.

Starting in PA, you could do Hershey, Busch Gardens/Williamsburg or Kings Dominion instead of Carowinds, but Kings Island and Cedar Point are must dos. Bonus points for riding "The Grizzly" at Kings Dominion, I worked on the construction crew that built it.

I'd love to do the tail of the dragon... But not really a thing she'd be in to, plus she gets car sick sometimes. We've both done a southwest sightseeing trip + Vegas. While Vegas is a possibility, it's not really our thing.

Good idea. Definitely been thinking about doing a grand tour style thing but not sure what we would want to see/do. Not sure how late in the season the parks all run but something to look into.

Didn't catch your wedding date, but I could see where that would be an issue since all of these are "warm weather" parks. Most would be open until Labor Day and then go to their weekend schedule.

I was thinking better Oct. weather. Not as likely a spot for random tornadoes and whatnot.
Tuscon has a gigantic MIL aircraft storage facility you can drive past for miles.
There's the cactus park there too, and Mt. Lemon.

Could always do the ever popular Niagra Falls thing. Just about anything you could ever want to do there and the weather should be pretty decent in October.
