Cusco Sports Accelerator Pedal Install + Review

Hey guys,

I just put in my Cusco Accelerator Pedal and it makes quite a bit difference for me. I know lots of people on the forum don't have any issues heel and toeing in this car, but I'm not quite as flexible as some other drivers. For around $50 it's a bit pricey, but I feel like it's made a pretty big difference.

I don't know if this belongs in Cosmetic Modification, because I feel like it's definitely a part that helps with performance. Hopefully this video I made can help you guys decide on picking one up or not:

Yeah, I read the thread in regards to the heel and toe and some people were saying it was a cinch:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=357850

I tried very very hard for a while to increase my flexibility or get use to trying in the car, but I couldn't and when this came out I just ordered it right away. It's like night and day. That's why I wanted to make a video of the before and after, so that the people who thought heel and toe was extremely easy in the car, could see how it it was very difficult for someone who wasn't quite as flexible.

I agree on the Cusco pedal being a huge improvement over the stock pedal. So much easier to blip the throttle with this installed.

For the FR-S, I found it easier to not heel and toe like you normally would on other cars. It's a lot easier to just put half of your right foot over the edge of the brake pedal and roll your foot to the side.

I agree, however the Cusco pedal makes even this easier. Easy enough to fit, and does make a noticeable difference.

Certainly recommended for the price.

Bump I would also like to know how much it raises the pedal. I've never had such a hard time switching between accelerator and brake in any car I've owned before. I'm coming from a G35 if that makes a difference.

I didn't notice the pedal get raised much. 1/8 maybe and I mean maybe closer to 1/4 of an inch. But the extra width is a huge difference. Made it 100x easier for me to heel toe.
