Bought a brz!strut problem

Hi guys just got a 2013 brz 18k miles. Highway speed it’s great and it takes bumps no problem. Lower speeds 50 or less is a clunk in the back right. Sounds like springs. I still hear this when parked if I bounce allitle on the passenger door jam. I checked the strut bolts and it seems the passanger rear strut nut is larger than the left. But anyway I tried tightening it and it just spins (this is the center bolt with the Allen key in the middle) I stuck a screwdriver to pry at the bolt and nut and it moves considerably while the other side does not. I’m sure this is the issue, any ideas? Blown strut, strut mount?

How did you try tightening it? You need a pass through socket + allen key to tighten it properly, if you only used one it will only ever spin.

Used a socket and allen key. Didnt even use the wrench attatchment, just the socket and allen. It was easily turnable by hand but never got tighter or looser. Think this just got over tightened and stripped at the bottom of the thread??

Did you try loosening as well? Is it the wrong nut and not even biting on threads?
