if there are any legit mexican/tacqueria spots in Alameda I'd be down for that over Chipotle... but parking near Chipotle is probably easiest.

I don't know the Alameda area very well so wouldn't be able to tell you but I know a bomb place in Pleasanton. @thecarfilmer and @dsteezy86 care to join in for suggestions for this Thursday?

Theres a few in Downtown Alameda but theres no parking!!! We could park in a CVS lot one block away from this one place I always go to

I always go to Island Taqueria on Park St. Theres a very popular place called La Penca Azul down the street but I have a feeling its going to get SUPER packed.

Had breakfast burrito's from there today (company bought a whole bunch) definitely great food but yeah no parking at all after 4-5pm.

hmmm ok so it sounds like good parking (we are a car club, after all) and good mexican food may be mutually exclusive. Should we just forgo the Cinco de Mayo celebration and meet somewhere that we can all find one another?

@PMok I believe the biggest concern we need to address first is that people have been asking for Alameda for awhile. Now, I don't believe we absolutely need to go to a Mexican place, as long as it's a place in Alameda that we can all meet up together is fine with me.

La penca is waaay over priced and over rated imho. Island taqueria is pretty good, but I prefer taqueria Ramiro & sons, dat chicharones man...

How about the parking structure? I know we tried there before and people freaked out about the "authorized parking" sign at the top floor, but that only applies for business hours.

Right off of Park St. which has lots of food options including the 3 Mexican places mentioned (all about 5-10 min walking distance)

I may have to work late Thurs, so I may not even be able to swing by the once in a while you guys are in Alameda...
