Just experienced the epitome of "you had one job!".

So long story somewhat short, a new laptop was sent to me to replace the (older, but better) current one I use for work.

At first they wouldn't even deliver to me because my official desk is in the SF office, even though I sit in the SJ one pretty much daily now. That makes sense, though was a bit annoying. Then they said they'd deliver it to my desk here. Last night I get an email saying the inter-office delivery guy missed me (I was sitting here all day). This morning the delivery guy emails me saying "Your computer from the other day is here at the dock, you can respond to this email as well so we can arrange a delivery time." So of course I emailed him back promptly at 9am this morning saying "Thank you Chris! I will come by to pick it up later today!"

So I walk there just now with a teammate. Only to find out "oh this is Josh? We've been looking for you but couldn't find you, so we just put it on the truck to be sent to the main HQ warehouse."

So I asked.. "did you get my email from this morning saying I'd be picking it up?"

The guy: "uhhh, no. Let me check my email. Oh, there it is. Wow, I only just saw it."

*major facepalm*

Nice... what did you end up going with?

Also must be nice to have that cali weather.. I just swapped to my snow tires on Monday. At least they are on my stock wheels so they still look decent, but I do miss the meaty summers and nicer wheel gap already

Thanks, you're such a good friend.

On another, but slightly unrelated note: I'm kinda nervous/anxious about tomorrow. Never gotten new wheels/tires before. Kind of taking a risk trying something different after having the car on the same wheels/tires for 18+ months.

I know to most of you it's no biggie but to me
