Can I order the car without stepping foot into the dealership until the car is ready to be picked up? I really have no desire to go there unless it's to grab my keys and pay for the thing. Most dealers seem pretty pushy on getting me in the door. Why? You don't even have a car to show me, you probably don't even have a brochure!

Man, I just want an 'Order' button on Subaru's website. This is all so stupid.
Every store does business differently. Some stores are hopping on the "digital retailing" option of letting you pretty much completely buy a car online, but that'll typically be reserved for pipeline inventory that they know they have coming. That won't show up on store's websites for a couple weeks probably. Even then, they'll need to have one allocated that isn't reserved.

That having been said, I would imagine most stores will shut up and take your money if you tell them how you want to do business and offer a small deposit.

It may depend on if they require a deposit on the car or not. If you don't know what is available as options, going in person might be better depending on what info they might release to you. When I placed my order, the info that the dealer had was all Subaru confidential information. They wouldn't let me have anything but my build sheet receipt when I left.

I did it completely over email. I have bought an outback from the dealership way way back tho.

It's probably a "destination fee", but you have me questioning my memory if the guy told me 28,995 or 29,995.

Surprised you went BRZ instead of GR.

Just couldn't shake the feeling that I didn't love the front of the 86. Seems I'm alone here but it makes the car look almost Z levels of fatty to my eyes. I love it from the sides though. Also don't love the black OEM wheels or the ducktail.

The BRZ bumper has more interesting elements and makes the car look smaller and more angular. It's all subjective though.

Can't ignore the mechanical differences either, however overblown they may be.

your not alone, i prefer the BRZ bumper over the GR86 this time.
I preferred the FRS and 86 bumper over the BRZ bumper for the first gen.

Plus, whatever wheel/tire setup the BRZ has strangely looks better proportioned than the 86....i feel like the 86 has huge wheel gap but for whatever reason its not really noticeable with the BRZ.

The black wheels may contribute to that effect. I'm a big fan of the BRZ Limited wheels. Such better fitment this time around with the 18s and the not-so-stretched PS4 tires. It doesn't ride too high either!

This video sold me on the BRZ. Especially with the STi bits, which I love:

The STi underspoilers and the foglight inserts make the car look so much better. Stock for stock, I'm still a bit torn between the GR86 and the BRZ.
