Santa Cruz CA First 86 Pickup 5/22

Picked it up last night! Dealer had a pizza party, brought in the local paper, and Toyota/Scion took photos and had us sign releases (no idea where or when they'll surface). Nor Cal rep was there and a California rep brought another FR-S in Raven for people to paw and sit in (it was fun watching the same people take turns sitting in it again...and again...and again...and being excited every single time! Swag bag was a tote with license plate frame (somehow we got #4 - go figure!), pen, little bits (keychains aplenty), etc. Also gave us a nice promo banner. Best part will be the complementary car cover that's on its way (drop ship) - they couldn't get it in time for the event. Here are some of the promised pics. (Mark's the handsome chap in the white shirt and a baseball cap, and Missy's the happy lady behind the wheel. Thanks to brother Victor for taking the pics!) WE LOVE THIS CAR!

Enjoy Skyline in that beast. And definitely take it south to Half Moon Bay...I'm super jealous of the roads you'll get to drive on out in the Santa Cruz area.

Congrats!
I have a good friend who lives in Santa Cruz. When I get mine, I want to drive highway 1 through Big Sur to Santa Cruz and visit my friend. When that happens we can meet up and have a FRS meeting.

That would be great. I'm getting my FRS around june 10. I won't be able to get up there until the end of summer or fall though. Summer is my busy season for work. I also want the car to be broken in before I make that long trip. It will happen this year. I will keep you informed. It will be a long strange trip Truckin' up Hwy 1 in my new FRS that's for sure.
