First car for me was a 1986.5 MKIII Supra, with a blown head gasket. First ever engine rebuild for me, first time driving stick. I'll spare you all the billion images of the project.

Very nice I owned an 88 MK3 Turbo myself so many memories in that car, that thing was a hoot once you boosted the stock turbo a bit, put some dp and full catback I actually want to do the 1JZ swap but never followed through.

Being the 86.5 version meant that there was no turbo variant...yet. I too wanted to do a 1JZ build, but after the research decided against it. Rebuilding it was already a lot of work(fun though!, wiring on the other hand....)
