E85 experience + few questions

I am currently running Stage 2 OFT + UEL Headers. Is E85 going to give that extra kick? Stage 2 to me isn't much faster than stock.

2 Questions:
1. I don't really need a flex flue kit since the bay area has e85 that is consistent right?

2. Cold start is not an issue since the Bay won't be that cold ever?

It's better to run a flex fuel kit. You'll be fine with cold starts. You might have to crank it a little longer during winter but you'll be able to start.

E85 is going to give you that same kind of kick as Stage 2... so if you aren't that impressed by Stage 2... well I dunno, maybe you better look into some boost.

when I'm not running e85 vs 91 is a very noticeable difference.

When I'm running 91 on just headers for when I know I'm going to road-trips or something it's very sad.

e85 pulls so much harder and honestly I regret pulling the trigger this long.

I recommend the Propel stations ... there aren't a lot of them, but if you live along the 880 corridor there are a number of them.

You won't feel the difference with stop and go traffic. It's night and day if you push it.

I think its a big change from 91-->85. Definitely the kick you'll need if you want it. If you can live with 14mpg then do it.

I don't think that's true at all 2nd and 3rd gear pull so much harder.

I'm on UEL headers and flex fuel and it's quite noticeable when I'm not on E85. When I'm on petrol I have to give it more oomph to keep up with traffic whereas on E85 I never seem to go over 3.5k rpm to keep pace. To me it feels like a small V6 when I'm on E85, even if it's a bad comparison.

Flex fuel kits are very much worth the investment. Before flexfuel, I loaded a fa20club stage 2 e85 (non flexfuel) tune into my car with just a smidge of 91, and put e85 from the fremont propel station in, and the car leaned out, didnt run well at all, and I had an overall miserable experience. Once I went flexfuel (delicious tuning flexfuel kit w their stg2 tune), all of my worries of not having stations to go to, inconsistencies of e85 stations, ect went away. The best part is that I can run 91 during the work week and fill up in e85 for the weekend canyon drives!
