Look at how the Type R's engine is placed way ahead of the front struts in relation to how much lower and further back the 86's engine is. And this kind of attention to handling from a $30000 modern sports car in 2012? Not gonna happen too often

Oh deposit has already been placed for a GT86 (GTS for you guys across the ditch) last month. I just thought I would compare the two cars for anyone who is interested.

But it's still hard letting go of the R.

I actually had the opposite reaction. I used to own a GSR so I'm partial to Integras, but I was surprised at how dated the DC2-R looks next to the 86.

I had an ITR...FR-S is way nicer, more modern, and handles better. The ITR was a good car (mine was turbocharged, so I can't comment on the power difference), but the steering and feel of the FR-S is closer to an actual sports car.
