Duuuuude, you're right! I wasn't holding it down long enough. Lol.

Basically, I'm so used to engaging it at a lower mph that I'm thinking it's normal for the top light go on first, then the bottom light turns on. So at higher mph, when I don't see the top light go on, I only hold for a little longer and then give up before dropping speed. So after trying it at higher speed, not seeing the first light, I thought 'see, this isn't gonna work, but hell with it, just keep holding it...' and boom, the two lights come on at the same time! I was like 'holy shizz, wtf?!?' Never occurred to me both lights would go on at the same time. You deserve a beer my friend.

If you're location is 808 you must have a hard time finding higher mph so understandable... \000/

I didn't do anything to help, but I'd be happy to accept the beer on behalf of Stang. Anything by Singlecut will do.

Ashamed to say I’ve never noticed much of a difference in handling with TRACK mode on vs. off, to a point where even with the dash lights indicating TRACK on I’m still left wondering if anything’s really changed. ):

And the “right” button is?

Pg. 253, 2017 Owner Guide

“TRACK” mode/Normal mode
The “TRACK” indicator and Vehicle stability control (VSC) off indicator come on when in “TRACK” mode.

Track mode limits are juust right for spirited driving. The base limits were also raised.

That one disable the brake-lsd when the wheels are slipping at low speed, it turns off at 31MPH. Perfect for getting out of a snow bank.
Keep it enabled if you truly have zero traction on both wheels as the HLSD turns into an open diff when that's the case.

I ise it every day. It's the first thing I do when I get in the car. Shockingly, I don't turn off VSC and TRC (left button long push) for daily driving. I find Track mode (right button) is great for anything but rain.

I fear my hoon card is about to be revoked.

That isn't true. It disables traction control, but it does not disable the e-diff function. You can have it off and the e-diff will still operate. Turning TCS off only prevents the car from limiting power to the rear wheels.

I have found that the degree of misunderstanding over these two buttons, how they are used, what they do, etc... is far-reaching in the Twin community. I have no idea why. I may create a guide on the 86owners website I have just to try to provide a single resource for everyone.
